Among the winners was Josephine Cardaza of Garapan, who said she bought a six-pack of Nestea Lemon Tea at H-Mart and got one entry form. “I will keep buying more Nestea Lemon Tea. I’ve always joined every Coca-Cola promo in the past. We’ve always had Coke products in our refrigerator. I am thankful to Coke for this promo,” she said.

Cardaza said she felt lucky for winning in the first drawing, considering that she only had one entry form.

Another winner, Rowena Dela Cruz of San Jose said she also felt lucky as she likewise only had one entry form. Dela Cruz said she bought a six-pack of Nestea Lemon Tea at H-Mart. “Of course, I was so surprised. I was not expecting to win with just one entry form. I’ll keep buying more Nestea Lemon Tea,” she said

Irene Maliaman of Chalan Lau Lau, also a winner, said she bought two cases of Nestea Lemon Tea at San Jose Mart for Father’s Day on June 17. “I am so very happy. At least something came back to me. Having won myself provedthat people really win these promos. I’ll keep buying more Nestea Lemon Tea. I just might win again,” Maliaman said.

Housewife is three-time Nestea Summer Splash promo winner CCBC—Call her lady luck.

A San Antonio housewife, who said she always buy Nestea, has her luck going for her, having won in each of the three Nestea Summer Splash promo raffle draws for three Saipan World Resort Wave Jungle passes that go with lunch for two persons each.

Mylene Macapagal said she started buying more Nestea products upon learning about the Nestea Summer Splash promo, which started on June 8.

“Sometimes I buy a case of Nestea, sometimes a six-pack. Whenever we have a party at our barracks, I urge the guys to buy Nestea instead of sodas,” she said.

Macapagal said she could not believe she won in the third raffle draw. “When I won in the first draw, I was so happy. And then, I was informed that I won again in the second draw, I was even happier. When they told me that I once again won, and this time, in the third raffle draw, I just couldn’t believe it. I was so overwhelmed,” Macapagal said.

The first raffle draw was held on June 22 at the Joeten Shopping Center in Susupe; the second was on Jul. 6 at San Jose Mart in San Jose; the third was on Jul. 20 at 99 Cents Supermarket in Garapan. Twenty five entry forms were picked from each drawing.

The fourth and last raffle draw was scheduled for Jul. 27 at Joeten Hafa Adai Shopping Center.

Macapagal said she would be keeping her fingers crossed and hope to win again. “I wish that my luck continues and not run out,” she said.

Macapagal said she is thankful for Coca-Cola Beverage Co. (Micronesia), Inc. for coming up with the promo. “I get a chance to enjoy Saipan World Resort’s Wave Jungle water park despite these lean economic times,” she said.

Rusty Loyola, CCBC operations manager, said he couldn’t be happier for Macapagal. “It shows that people have a good chance of winning in this promo,” he said, adding that coupons already in the drop boxes for the previous drawings were not removed in the succeeding ones for a better chance of winning.

A businessman, it will be recalled, had won three Saipan World Resort Wave Jungle passes in just two drawings. Brian P. Reyes owner of Reyes Planning and Consulting Firm in Chalan Lau Lau, won two Wave Jungle passes in the first drawing, and then another one in the second.

Isidro Kin receives his retirement check from Clarence Tenorio, vice president of Coca-Cola Beverage Company (Micronesia), Inc. (left), and Johnnie Fong, CCBCM managing director. Kin has been a CCBCM employee for 31 years.

GUALO RAI—Coca-Cola Beverage Co. (Micronesia) Inc. held a farewell luncheon party for the company’s longest-serving employee who was retiring after 31 years of service—the longest in CCBCM history.

Fifty-two-year-old Isidro Kin, who started working for CCBCM as production supervisor when he was 21, said working for the company through the years has been the most productive part of his life.

“I cannot forget my co-workers here. I really haven’t planned on anything yet. I’d probably just stay at home in the meantime and relax. I have mixed feelings about retirement,” Kin said.

Kin had also worked as a Coke salesman and a sales supervisor. He was the warehouse supervisor before he retired.

Johnnie Fong, CCBCM managing director; and Clarence Tenorio, CCBCM vice president; were in attendance to present Kin with a retirement check.

“Mr. Kin has done all aspects of work here at Coca-Cola. Your jobs had been his job at one point or another through the years. Mr. Kin has come full circle,” Fong told CCBCM employees who were present at the luncheon, which was held at the CCBCM office in Chalan Laulau.

Kin’s co-workers said they admire him a lot for his industry, working even during break time when most everyone was taking a catnap.

“He’s hardworking, and an honest employee, too,” Edgard Deang, CCBCM chief accountant; said. “People could trust him, which was why he stayed long in the warehouse department.”

Deang said Kin could do basically every job in the warehouse. “He could handle delivery, and also operate the forklift,” he said.

Kin, who lives in Kagman III, has five children: Reagan, 25; Chris, 19; Hileen, 15; Iva, 9; and Jason 7.
